Launching an NFT

Today, I woke up and decided to make an NFT. Here’s a summary of why and how I did it.

Today, I decided to create an NFT. When I woke up today, I was scrolling through my newsfeed, and I read a Business Insider article about how a woman made $300,000 over the past 10 months by creating and selling NFTs. After reading this article, I wanted to learn how to make an NFT.

First, I watched a couple YouTube videos on making an NFT. This made it seem a little complicated, so I was slightly discouraged. But after looking into it, I learned that the process is a bit easier if you don’t plan on selling it (you don’t have to pay fees to list the NFT if you do this).

After I began to understand how to do it, I went to my computer and opened up OpenSea, an NFT marketplace. Once I got to the website, I started to work on creating my profile.

First, I needed to link a crypto wallet. I used MetaMask (not for any particular reason, it was just the first one listed on the OpenSea website). It was pretty simple to set up an account, and once that was done, I was ready to start making my NFT.

Creating an NFT was super simple. All I had to do was upload the image file I planned on using and submit some basic information. After that was done, I was ready to create the NFT (you can find it here)
